zero crossing:    the location of the mean of the waveform, normally occurring twice during each cycle at the instantaneous point where there is no voltage present. For example: to locate the zero crossing of a Data Eye, turn on the horizontal histogram function to horizontally enclose all waveforms associated with the "edge" and vertically limit to +/-5% of the waveform voltage.
